This role involves working closely with families to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide sensitive and respectful support to parents, family members, and young people
* Collaborate with other agencies to address complex issues and develop effective solutions
* Work with families to formulate goals that meet their needs and provide necessary assistance through regular home visits
* Develop and implement safety plans, conducting thorough risk assessments as needed
* Manage a caseload, including high-needs and high-risk clients and their families
* Participate in court processes, preparing documents and attending hearings as required
Requirements
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, or Welfare, along with relevant practical experience
* Other related degrees may be considered if you can demonstrate your expertise in working with vulnerable children, young people, and families
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships
* A valid driver's licence (P1 or above)
* A current Working with Children clearance number
