BTP is looking for a
**Procurement & Planning Manager** to manage a team of procurement and planning professionals. You will be based at our Head office in Hazelmere with flexible working options.
This position involves close contact with the BTP's Senior Leadership, Production, Sales, Warehousing and Planning teams. The role will work closely with various departments to ensure the timely acquisition and supply of goods and services needed for the operation of the organisation. It will require strong communication, negotiation and team working skills, along with organisational and critically time management skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of procurement and demand planning professionals, ensuring they adhere to standard policies and procedures.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiating operating practices.
- Ensure delivery of service level and supply to contractual obligations
- Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements.
- Develop, propose, and implement procurement strategies that align with BTP goals.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs, forecast future requirements, and develop procurement plans accordingly.
- Oversee the creation, review, and approval of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand their customers' needs,
- requirements accordingly.
- Ensure the accurate and efficient allocation of sales requirements against inventory.
- Continuously review and improve processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
- Actively promote and contribute to a positive Health, Safety and Environment Culture through
**About You**
- Experience in a similar role in the heavy mobile equipment industry or related sectors preferably
- Experience in a supervisory role or higher.
- Strong industry knowledge.
- Experience with Power BI reporting suite preferred.
- Pronto and Coupa experience is preferred.
- Proactive, highly motivated with a collaborative team-orientated mindset.
- Strong organisational and time management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills essential.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
