Design Officer

At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training.

* Ongoing Full-Time
* Located in Blacktown with flexible working arrangements available
* Competitive salary of $99,938 - $110,271 pa plus superannuation and leave loading

About the role

In this role, you will produce designs of security systems including CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control that are tailored for educational environments. You'll work closely with project teams, school representatives, and contractors to ensure every design meets departmental standards and enhances the wellbeing of students and staff.

Essential requirements of the role

* Required to travel to various school locations.
* Driver's licence – Class C.
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires, as long as you remain in a non–child-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.
