Senior Project Coordinator (Medical) — Contract | Brisbane | Hybrid
QBG is a specialist medical infrastructure and fitout company with 13 years of delivery experience across clinical, radiology, and imaging environments. We work with medical groups across multi‐site, multi‐modality rollouts nationally, and we're growing.
We're looking for a Senior Project Coordinator to join us on a contract basis and take ownership of project delivery across our medical fitout pipeline.
What you'll be doing
* Coordinating project delivery from design sign‐off through to practical completion
* Managing contractors, consultants, and suppliers across active projects
* Tracking budgets, programmes, and RFIs with precision
* Liaising with medical clients and clinical stakeholders
* Working closely with the Principal and Executive Assistant to keep projects moving
* Supporting national rollout programmes, with travel to project sites as required
What we're looking for
* Proven experience in construction or fitout project coordination, ideally in healthcare or high‐compliance environments
* Strong understanding of project schedules, cost tracking, and contractor management
* Current QBCC Low Rise Builder licence
* QBCC Shopfitting licence
* A professional, relationship‐driven communication style
* Someone who owns their work and doesn't need to be managed
* Based in Brisbane or willing to work hybrid across project locations nationally
* Open to interstate travel for project delivery
Qualifications
* Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder management.
* Experience with Expediting and working as an Expeditor to ensure timely delivery of materials, approvals, and project milestones.
* Proficiency in Logistics Management for coordinating suppliers, deliveries, and site resources across multiple projects or locations.
* Inspection experience, including quality, compliance, and safety inspections within construction or fitout environments.
* Background in construction, fitouts, or healthcare infrastructure, with knowledge of building codes and regulatory requirements.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‐building skills with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
* Ability to interpret drawings and specifications, manage variations, and maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
* Proven ability to work on‐site, prioritize competing tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast‐paced environment.
* Relevant tertiary qualification in construction management, engineering, project management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
* Familiarity with project management and scheduling software; current driver's licence and ability to attend project sites as required.

We're open to the right candidate stepping into a Nominee Supervisor role for QBG, where your personal QBCC licence is nominated to the company, enabling QBG to operate as a licensed building contractor. Remuneration includes a base contract rate plus performance bonuses and incentives, negotiated based on experience and the scope of your involvement.
