Job Description
About the role
The Senior Practice Coach role is responsible for leading the development and execution of targeted projects that aim to improve staff knowledge and practice interventions across the Community Services branch. The role combines a level of systems activities, higher level leadership responsibilities, and staff coaching that aims to build the nuanced and accountable ways of working with families and young people to ensure community quality and impact. The role works closely with front-line staff in delivering in-field side-by-side coaching to scaffold staff development, while also leading all quality compliance and acute client risk management.
Duties
* Lead the development and implementation of discreet practice reform projects across the branch, ensuring the use of the centralised project management framework at ATSICHS.
* Lead the review and improvements of the ATSICHS client empowerment-based practice framework, ensuring clear integration and automation processes imbedded into ATSICHS CRM and Mobcare applications for consistent uptake in front-line teams.
* Lead the development and implementation of an annual training and development plan, focussed on improving staff practice skills, stakeholder engagement, professionalism, and conflict mediation. Develop a schedule of training that aligns with practice evidence-based skills gap across the kindergarten teams.
* Provide a comprehensive assessment of staff pedagogy and work practices, tailoring solutions and coaching on evidenced assessment.
* Lead the development of risk frameworks, including the development and review of associated policies and procedures for managing compliance and risk in the early years sector.
* Systematise and digitise case management operations to improve data tracking and monitoring of quality deliverables.
* Lead the quantitative and qualitative client feedback instruments to inform improvements in ATSICHS practice approaches and model of care improvements.

Desired Skills and Experience
* Degree Qualification+ Moderate Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant social services field with at least 4 years case management experience in family support, child protection, youth support, housing or related field.
OR
* Diploma + High Experience: Diploma in relevant Community/Services field with at least 6 years in a case management role in family support, child protection, youth support, housing or related field.
AND
* Theoretical and Technical Practice: Demonstrated ability to apply and critique child safety and social work theoretical frameworks of practice, implementing client interventions based upon scaffolding client self-awareness, agency, and empowered sustainable behaviour change interventions.
* Legislative Knowledge and Command: Ability to critique and problem solve related legislative gray zones, while managing organisational and child harm risks. Demonstrated ability to integrate knowledge across different business units, ensuring the fair treatment and voices of family's are promoted, while managing child harm risks.
* Communicating and Influencing Teams and External Stakeholders: Ability to support staff in applying sound social service and child protection practice reasonings to influence stakeholders (Youth Justice, Child Safety, Schools, Hospitals etc.). Motivate a strong team working culture and sustain behaviour change by influencing others.
* Whole-of-system Internal Integration: Demonstrated ability to connect numerous internal ATSICHS programs and services to activate wrap-around care for families, trading-off and negotiating resources across the organisation and between other teams to achieve client impact.
* Problem Solving: Problem solve general operational policies with autonomous decision making to enact client impact, adhering to client risk, safety, and quality standards.
AND
* Exceptional case management skills, including grammatical writing ability, personal organisation and time management, and execution of services according to the model of care phases of work.
* Demonstrated ability to create new social work theoretical frameworks of practice, aligned with ATSICHS values. Ability to coach other staff on client interventions that build client motivation, insight and acceptance, self-awareness, decision making (agency), and sustainable behaviour change.
* Ability to apply technical knowledge of relevant legislation (child protection/housing/youth justice etc). Ability to critique/ and problem solve legislative grey zones, while managing organisational and child/client harm risks.
* Ability to influence decisions of external stakeholders, including Child Safety, Youth Justice, Schools, and Hospitals.
* Ability to connect through systems panel coordination numerous internal ATSICHS programs and services to activate wrap-around care for clients, trading-off and negotiating resources across the organisation and between other teams to achieve client impact.
Preferred
* Project Management Experience or Transferrable Skills: Previous experience or transferrable skills related to project management is desirable, or willingness to attend specialist project management training.
