This role is all about providing strong safety leadership. You will lead our Field Health & Safety team, working closely with our Wells, Operations and Project teams to deliver safety outcomes that make a real difference. You'll ensure effective incident and injury management, emergency response, and security across the business, while driving a strong focus on behavioural safety, leadership, continuous improvement, and personal safety interventions.

Arrow Energy is a Queensland-based producer of natural gas and electricity to power homes, business, and industries.

Our Surat Gas Project is a 27-year project that will have the capability to produce enough natural gas to power the equivalent of more than four million homes every day.

Arrow proudly contributes to areas where we work through job creation, local spend, road upgrades, and social investment. We employ around 500 people and contractors, and have offices in Dalby, Chinchilla, and Brisbane.

Arrow is a joint venture of two of the world's largest oil and gas companies – Shell and PetroChina.

To meet our growing demands, we are looking for a Manager Field Health and Safety to join our team.


The Role:

Reporting to the General Manager Health, Safety, Environment, the purpose of the role is to improve Arrow's health and safety (H&S) performance via a structured approach to safety and health management across the organisation focussed upon the most significant risks and areas to achieve the most benefit.

This is a Dalby based role and will require the incumbent to reside in Dalby.

* Demonstrate a personal commitment to consistently role model Arrow's values, code of conduct, safety and the environment.
* Establish positive and productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
* Model inclusive behaviours to create a safe environment where different views and perspectives are encouraged and valued.
* Lead the Field Health and Safety team to ensure the effective delivery of support to Projects, Operations and Wells. Ensure that a proactive approach is taken to the prioritisation of support activities.
* Take ownership of Arrow's Emergency Management and Security Management Plans, including the periodic review of plans, implementation, and identification of improvement opportunities.
* Lead, plan, implement and support management practices and projects aimed at achieving an organisational culture focused on Target Zero.
* Manage the safety team's provision of incident investigation support to the business.
* Manage, as Contract Owner, key service provision contracts (and agreements) for the function (Arrow Health Services Contract)


About You

You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to contribute to a high performing-team with a second-to-none focus on safety and integrity.


To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

* Qualification: University degree in Health & Safety or other equivalent professional qualification.
* Experience in major organisations with safety or related responsibilities.
* A combination of demonstrated H&S technical experience, corporate strategy and leadership of teams.
* Ability to act as a "trusted partner" able to influence managers, supervisors, contracting organisations and workers.
* Ability to operate with a level of autonomy in leading self and team to plan, implement and evaluate HSE projects and processes.
* Ability to make decisions and judgments impartially based on standards, legislative requirements, Health and Safety knowledge and practice.
* Ability to act as an effective communicator able to communicate and liaise internally, with industry partners and regulators.
* Process Safety management experience to significant level and Oil and gas industry experience, and ideally CSG sector experience is desirable.
