We're seeking an Audit Accountant or Accountant interested in moving into Audit to support external audit engagements across NFP, commercial, large proprietary and listed clients.
What you'll do
* Support the delivery of external audits: planning, fieldwork/testing and completion under ASA requirements.
* Prepare and assist in reviewing financial statements in line with the applicable AASB and reporting frameworks.
* Prepare clear, accurate workpapers using firm methodology.
* Apply an inquiring mindset and professional scepticism to identify risks, control gaps and process improvement opportunities.
* Work to budgets, productivity targets and deadlines, escalating issues early.
* Contribute to internal quality by following systems, policies and procedures (incl. CaseWare, Xero and firm tools).
* Participate in mandatory technical training and on-the-job coaching from senior auditors and managers.
What you'll bring
* Bachelor of Business/Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent (essential).
* 1–2 years' experience in a professional services or audit/assurance environment.
* CA/CPA: commenced or eligible to commence (support provided).
* Sound understanding of ASA/AASB principles, workpaper discipline and audit testing techniques.
* Strong numeracy, written and verbal communication, and time management skills.
* Confidence with CaseWare and/or cloud accounting systems (e.g., Xero) is advantageous.
