Job Overview
* Clean learning spaces, facilities, and outdoor areas to meet cleanliness and hygiene standards.
* Collaborate with school staff to maintain a positive and safe environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning windows, doors, glass, pictures, fittings, sinks, taps, and drinking fountains.
2. Maintaining and sanitizing toilet facilities and sick bays.
3. Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming classrooms, offices, and shared spaces.
4. Dusting furniture, equipment, and fans.
5. Removing cobwebs and mildew (including use of extendable equipment).
6. Cleaning concrete, bitumen, and paved areas.
7. Removing graffiti where required.
8. Caring for vinyl/timber floors (buffing, stripping, and polishing).
9. Performing general hosing duties.
10. Properly disposing of rubbish, litter control, and clearing drains and gutters.
11. Maintaining cleaning equipment used in daily duties.
12. Locking/unlocking buildings and activating/disarming security systems as needed.
13. Reporting safety, security, or maintenance concerns to the relevant authority.
14. Coordinating the purchase or replacement of cleaning resources.
15. Providing assistance to members of the public by directing enquiries to appropriate staff.
