About the Role
The Youth Worker position is a crucial part of supporting children and their families in foster care arrangements. As a member of our team, you will work closely with other practitioners to provide therapeutic support to young people and their carers.
Key responsibilities include:
* Carer education and training
* Behaviour management and placement support
* In-home support
* Practical and financial assistance
* Youth worker support
* Systemic connection with therapeutic and allied health services
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
* Hold a Certificate IV or higher qualification in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Youth Services, Community Services or similar
* Have a paid Blue Card or have applied for one
* Complete a Child Safety Personal History Check (LCS2)
* Complete Hope and Healing Framework training
* Hold a current valid driver's license (Green provisional plates or higher)
* Be able to provide 2 recent references
* Meet COVID-19 vaccination requirements
