About the Role
As an Experienced Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our clinicians and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the surgery. This position is ideal for someone who is confident in their clinical skills, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about patient care.
Key Responsibilities
* Chairside assisting for a wide range of dental procedures, including general dentistry, restorative, surgical, and implant dentistry
* Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms to the highest infection control standards
* Sterilisation and instrument processing in accordance with ADA infection control guidelines
* Taking and processing digital X-rays (if qualified)
* Accurate charting and clinical note assistance
* Patient management, including welcoming patients, explaining treatment steps, and ensuring patient comfort
* Assisting with stock control, ordering, and maintaining clinical supplies
* Supporting reception as needed, including appointment management and patient communication
* Contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture
About You
* Minimum 1–2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant (Essential)
* Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate)
* Strong understanding of infection control standards and sterilisation protocols
* Confident chairside skills and ability to anticipate clinician needs
* Excellent communication and patient-care skills
* High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a close team
* Willingness to learn, grow with the practice, and adapt to new technologies and workflows
* Experience in surgical dentistry or implants is a bonus but not required
