Position
We have an exciting opportunity for two permanent full time Site Engineer/Project Engineers to join the Road Infrastructure Delivery Branch within the Council.
Responsibilities
 * Provide specialist engineering, construction management and contract administration expertise in the delivery of road and drainage infrastructure.
 * Work productively as part of a high performing team to ensure achievement of outcomes, including building, maintaining, and fostering good relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and principal contractors.
 * Prepare procurement documentation and analyse quotations.
 * Develop and manage contracts for road infrastructure projects.
 * Resolve technical issues and provide engineering advice in consultation with the Senior Project Engineer.
 * Ensure compliance with contract conditions during project delivery.
 * Report regularly on safety, schedule, budget, quality, environment, and stakeholder engagement.
 * Review and improve quality assurance and business processes.
Qualifications
Ideally, you will have:
 * Technical knowledge related to civil road and drainage construction and rehabilitation.
 * Procurement and contract administration experience.
 * Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 * Experience maintaining quality assurance systems and records.
 * Ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds.
Mandatory
 * Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering (4-year course)
 * QLD General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) – White Card
 * Current C Class Driver's Licence
 * General Safety Induction Card (Construction Industry)
 * Possession of a current driver's license for motor vehicles
Salary and Benefits
Salary from: Level 5 starts at $96,154 + superannuation; Level 6 starts at $103,194 + superannuation.
