The Archivist Role
This is a unique opportunity to safeguard the rich history of Royal Sydney by preserving documents and artefacts, recording new acquisitions, and bringing the story to life through publications, displays, exhibitions, and digital content.
As an integral member of the team, you will work closely with Communications colleagues and collaborate with the History & Heritage Sub-Committee on specific heritage projects, contributing to the Club's strategic objectives.
You will be responsible for:
* Gathering and documenting knowledge of Royal Sydney's history and activities to inform communications and enhance Member engagement
* Maintaining the accuracy, accessibility, and currency of the archival database
* Providing expert historical research and response services to Members and staff
* Supporting Communications projects with historical context, stories, and imagery
* Assisting with curation of small exhibitions and heritage displays
* Collaborating on heritage initiatives, priorities, and conservation or digitisation projects
