Safety Business Partner Role
This role plays a key part in supporting our Health and Safety Management System implementation.
You will work closely with the Senior Safety Business Partner and various teams to ensure our operations are safe, efficient, and aligned with our core values.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide coaching and mentoring to teams and contractors to embed health and safety practices into daily operations.
* Lead and support behavioural safety programs, such as ALPS (Courageous Conversations), ensuring quality action outcomes.
* Support thorough incident investigations and assist in developing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Analyse incident data, identify trends, and develop proactive safety initiatives.
* Deliver safety training sessions, including behavioural safety and risk management fundamentals.
* Support the use of risk management tools, including Start Cards, SWMS, Risk Assessments, and Safety Critical Procedures.
* Assist with the rollout of fatality prevention and process safety programs.
* Conduct safety audits, reviews, and provide actionable feedback to enhance safety systems and practices.
About You
* Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
* ICAM lead investigation qualifications with a strong track record in incident investigation.
* Safety Management System auditing expertise.
* Extensive experience in implementing behavioural safety initiatives and consultation processes.
* Risk management expertise, including experience with fatality prevention and project management systems.
* Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong analytical capabilities to identify trends and drive data-informed decisions.
* A proactive, adaptable mindset, capable of managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of Occupational Health exposures and controls (desirable).
