Taking lead and direction from the PO3 Manager, Digital Services; the PO2 Digital Services Librarian supports the provision of a client-centred library service by assisting with the implementation, maintenance and evaluation of online information resources such as journals, ebooks and databases.
The incumbent collaborates in the implementation and design of library services in a wide variety of ways including updating the SA Health Library Service website and training other members of the SA Health Library Service team on using new library resources.
While the position will be based primarily at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, there is an opportunity to negotiate working location across various SA Health Library sites.
This is a temporary contract position until 31 December 2025. There may be an opportunity for a further temporary contract extension beyond this date.
Qualifications
Eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association requiring professional qualifications in librarianship or information studies.

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with a variety of Library users.
Demonstrated customer service approach to service provision to Library users.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision and contribute positively in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to design, construct and maintain web pages using appropriate software.
Ability to solve technical problems regarding knowledge resources access and set-up at a complex level.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Experience
Practical experience with online library management systems.
Practical experience in a digital library environment.
Practical experience in the integration and management of electronic journals and resources.
