The Role
We are looking for Personal Care Workers to join our Eaglehawk residential aged care home in California Gully (Bendigo), home to wonderful 67 residents. There are permanent part time shifts available across AM/PM/Night Duty.
Our Personal Care Workers:
* Assist residents with daily activities according to their needs and choices
* Observe and report any changes in resident condition to the Nurse on shift
* Plan and support residents with social and lifestyle activities within the home
* Document information including all required charting and progress notes
* Spend time with the residents to connect, share stories and show empathy
Our Personal Care Workers (PCWs) are dedicated to helping older Victorians live their best lives, by delivering person‐centred care that can only come from truly knowing the individuals they are supporting. The role of a PCW is exciting and diverse in our residential aged care homes. Each day is unique and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to our residents.
About you
* Completed Cert III or higher in Individual Support (Ageing) or a related aged care qualification
* A genuine passion for caring and ability to build rapport with clients
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Respect for all, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientation
* A current NDIS Worker Screening Check or ability to obtain
