Outreach and Engagement Officer
UQ Ventures seeks a full‐time fixed‐term employee until January2027 with a salary in the range $95,361–$102,302 (HEW6). The role is based at the StLucia campus and offers a generous superannuation allowance of up to 17%.
Responsibilities
* Creative brand design: apply intermediate Adobe Creative Suite skills (InDesign essential) to produce high‐quality print and digital resources that enhance program visibility.
* Event coordination: support the planning and execution of high‐energy outreach activities, campus events, and logistical operations that celebrate the UQVentures community.
* Multi‐channel communication: craft marketing content, manage social media streams, and publish targeted eDMs to drive student and founder participation.
* Strategic internal networking: build relationships across UQ faculties, institutes, and external industry partners.
* Work may require out‐of‐standard hours to accommodate event and campaign schedules.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent experience with a proven record of planning, organising and delivering community engagement events and complex projects.
* Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign essential) and Microsoft365 to produce print, digital and presentation assets aligned with brand guidelines.
* Practical experience building an online community through website content management, social media channels and eDM platforms (e.g., MailChimp, Vision6).
* Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple overlapping deadlines within a fast‐paced team and to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the appointment; employer‐sponsored work rights are not available.
