Due to a new funding opportunity, we are looking to grow our team with a skilled practitioner to work alongside our children's counselling team.
This role walks alongside children, young people and their mothers/ carers after experiencing domestic and family violence, abuse, and coercive control to rebuild their lives, strengthen attachment, and improve their safety and well-being through case management and education.

Role location: Jimboomba – our Jimboomba office is only 40 minutes from Logan and Springfield and a one-hour drive from the Gold Coast
Role type: MAX TERM TO 30 JUNE hours per week
Pay range: $101,106 a year/$51.00 an hour (pro rata) based on experience, with salary packaging exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax available
In this role you will:
Work with children, young people and their mothers in their journey of healing and recovery from domestic and family violence trauma.
Through trauma-informed case management and education you will strengthen the relationships and attachments between children, young people and their mothers and siblings.
Resource families and connect them to longer term supports on their pathway to safety so they can thrive in a future free of violence and abuse.
About you
Aside from meeting the key capabilities outlined in the related role description available from the link below, you'll be a great fit if you:
Bring experience in a similar role and have experience in case management with at risk or vulnerable children, a domestic and family violence framework underpinned by a gendered perspective of violence, application of the common risk and safety framework and information sharing guidelines.
Can be creative in your delivery of services to meet the needs of children and young people.
Are resilient, flexible, value collaboration, bring humour, innovation, and have cultural awareness.
