Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity for an additional Payroll Officer to join our awesome (even if we do say so ourselves!) support office team on a full-time basis in Bundall.
**The Opportunity**
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be part of a dynamic and high performing finance team in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with the processing of our fortnightly payroll for our team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
This is a full-time permanent role based at our support office in Bundall, Gold Coast.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Ensuring all team members are paid in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assisting with payroll projects and time and attendance systems and process changes.
- Assist in preparing and interpreting payroll reports to help the operational team drive improvements and efficiencies.
- Maintain team member records in accordance with legislative requirements
- General support to other departments If required.
**About You**
- To be successful in this role you will have: _
- A sound understanding of the Animal Care and Veterinary Services Award [MA000118] (preferred but not essential) or of modern awards.
- An in-depth knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing, having been exposed to a complex payroll
- Relevant experience with large multisite payroll processes (desirable).
- Proficiency in relevant payroll and time & attendance software such as Elmo, Keypay, Payroll Metrics and Human Force (desirable)
- Intermediate excel experience (pivot tables, formulas, workbook management)
- Attention to detail and accuracy with complementary organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strict compliance in confidentiality
- Experience in providing advice and support to Senior Managers on Payroll matters.
