This is a permanent part-time 0.2FTE position commencing Term 1, 2026

The Role

We are seeking a Program Coordinator- Student Services who ideally has experience in taking a lead role in monitoring and reporting on student attendance, behaviour, social and emotional wellbeing, educational engagement, and Students at Educational Risk (SAER). This position forms an integral part of our Student Services Team, supporting the school's commitment to every student's success.

The successful applicant will ideally have cultural responsiveness, empathy, and excellent communication skills. The successful applicant will ideally motivate others such as leading by example and fostering strong relationships across the school community.

The successful applicant will ideally have experience in leading the following:

Management of students with identified special needs and work in conjunction with the relevant staff to ensure appropriate support is put into place (such as the establishment, monitoring and review of IEPs, RMPs, IBMPs).
Understanding of Departmental processes and management of these with interagency organisations
Monitoring student attendance and take appropriate action to improve student attendance.
High level of Disability Resourcing Applications knowledge and management
Expertise in NCCD & AECD management
Strong curriculum knowledge to oversee intervention programmes
Proven skills in coaching, mentoring and line management of staff
Strong knowledge and evidence of data tracking student's achievements
Strong skills in developing respectful relationships with students and families that is culturally responsive to the Balga PS context

Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
