About the OPPORTUNITY
We have a new opportunity for Electricians to join our Destroyer Capability Enhancement Program based at Osborne.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9 day fortnight
* Key responsibilities include:
o Execute tasks defined as being electrical functions within Production to ensure delivery in line with the Manufacturing Plan
o Carry out tasks both on-board the Naval Vessel and also within a workshop environment
o Undertake tasks as described within Electrical Job Cards and complete associated documentation to capture job progress
o Ensure time keeping accuracy by booking to correct Job Cards
o Interpret and utilize electrical technical drawings
o Comply with required Quality and Technical directions contained within Job Card Work scopes and Process Instructions
o Ensure that all equipment and areas used are maintained in a safe and organised manner
o Understand and abide by Safety Policies and associated documentation such as Take 5, Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments and help to create a safe working environment for all employees
o Work on tasks as part of a workgroup and also individually
o Work with Apprentices and oversee their skills and development as appropriate
o Interaction with other Trade Groups and Business Functions to enable delivery of the Program
o Undertake training as deemed appropriate for the role
About you:
o Trade certificate III Electro technology Electrician
o Hold and maintain an Australian Electrical Licence and any appropriate licencing for the equipment used and tasks performed within the shipyard
o Demonstrated experience as an electrical tradesperson
o Must be eligible to apply for Australian Defence Security Clearance
