Position details

- Term: Fixed-term, full-time until 22 September 2026
- Remuneration: $94,099 to $106,134 pa (HEW5) (inclusive of $79,514 to $89,685 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
- Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)

What you’ll do

We are seeking a Student Support Officer (WIL) to join the Office of the Deputy Dean, Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice. The WIL Student Support Officer is part of the Faculty Specialist Student Support team and provides a range of administrative duties to organise and administer Work Integrated Learning (WIL) activities within the Faculty. This position is the first point of contact for students, university staff and external entities and is expected to provide an exceptional standard of professional customer service. The position supports the placement of students in a wide range of industry and community partnership engagement activities as part of their course of study.

Qualifications

- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of an undergraduate degree.
- Well-developed written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team and liaise with a diverse range of people in a skilled manner.
- Demonstrated experience in providing high quality student services with a focus on innovation and service excellence along with a high attention to detail, the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and balance competing demands.
- Demonstrated ability in the accurate interpretation and application of local and University policy and procedures in order to provide clear and consistent advice to clients.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of information technology including Microsoft Office 365, InPlace, and corporate databases such as SAMS, HPRM, QUT Virtual, or demonstrated ability to quickly acquire knowledge of new systems.
