Chandler Macleod are partnering with a meat manufacturing company in
**Thomastown** (Northern Suburbs), looking for experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their Maintenance team.
About the role Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for the maintenance of the plant and equipment across both, Meat Boning facility and Meat Processing Facility located in Thomastown.
Ensuring the efficiency by engaging at all levels of management, development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
You will need to have a dedication to safety, and an eye for detail as this role will put your critical thinking skills to the test!
**You will be responsible for**:
Repair and refurbish all electrical and electronic systems used in food processing equipment
Provide electrical and electronic support to customers in the commissioning of equipment and its ongoing maintenance
- Provide some breakdown maintenance for all plant in a meat processing factory that employs over 250 people
- Assemble and test new food processing machinery - Note that this is industrial work - NOT domestic or commercial
- Ability to prepare reports after carrying out investigations or maintenance of plant or equipment
**About you**:
We are looking for someone who can operate in a team, work independently, and who shows initiative in the work they are producing.
**You will have**:
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred Provide technical product support during breakdowns, shutdowns and all preventative maintenance activities
- A-Grade Electrical Licence Have strong communication and troubleshooting skills and be able to follow instructions
- A sound ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawings Experience with PLC's and VSD's based automation systems
- Possess mechanical aptitude Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot and respond to breakdowns in an industrial environment
