Are you an experienced leader with a passion for delivering high-quality training programs and building strong partnerships in regional and rural health?James Cook University is seeking a Team Leader, Multidisciplinary Training to lead the coordination and delivery of student placements and site operations within the RHMT Program. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of the rural health workforce while leading a high-performing, service-focused team.What you’ll doIn this role, you will provide leadership and direction to ensure the effective delivery of multidisciplinary training activities. You will:Lead the coordination of student placements, including site management, accreditation processes, and logistical planningOversee enquiry management, ensuring responsive, accurate and client-focused service deliverySupervise and develop a team, fostering a positive, collaborative and high-performing cultureBuild and maintain strong relationships with health service providers and key stakeholdersDrive continuous improvement by analysing operational data and enhancing service delivery outcomes
What you’ll bringYou are a capable leader with strong organisational and communication skills, and a commitment to service excellence. You will demonstrate:Relevant degree qualifications and experience aligned with the appropriate HEW levelProven experience leading and developing teams to deliver high-quality outcomesStrong administrative experience, ideally within medical education, training, or a related environmentExcellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesHigh-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to manage complex enquiriesSound judgement, initiative, and problem-solving capabilityProficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with information and financial systemsAn understanding of rural and remote health training or university systems (desirable)
Additional requirementsAbility to travel within North West Queensland, including overnight staysOccasional after-hours workCurrent Queensland ‘C’ class driver licence
