About the opportunity: We have an exciting fixed-term opportunity as a Procurement Officer to join our Maritime business based in Adelaide. The position is fixed term until 31 May 2026. We embrace flexible work arrangements, such as a 9-day fortnight.
Key Responsibilities
* Aid the procurement elements of bids and tenders, ensuring robust definition of requirements and commercial terms
* Support the supplier evaluation process and sourcing recommendations on behalf of the business
* Support the development of robust supplier sourcing strategies for the business
* Proactively manage supplier performance to meet contract requirements (schedule, cost, quality) and develop relevant KPIs
* Lead supplier negotiations and finalise Supplier Agreements and purchase orders in accordance with procedures and Delegations Of Authority
About You
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant field is desirable
* Defence industry experience would be highly regarded
* Demonstrated experience in procurement or supply chain
* Familiarity with development and negotiation of contracts with key suppliers
* Ability to effectively manage stakeholder expectations and deliver on commitments
* Previous experience with Aveva and/or Oracle will be highly regarded
* Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
