**About the Assignment**
Accountabilities for this position are:
- Lead and manage turbomachinery maintenance sourcing for all Santos business needs in area of responsibility, circa $150m value
- Develop contracting and procurement deliverables for the procurement process and assurance requirements
- Achieve stakeholder requirements addressing growth, supply security and social license imperatives at lowest total cost
- Use initiative, industry knowledge and best practice concepts to develop and execute sourcing plans which provide sustainable advantage and contribute to the attainment of Santos' lowest cost operator goals
- Work collaboratively (and with influence) with key stakeholders to ensure business needs are understood and project strategies aligned
- Develop and lead complex negotiations with contractors and coach negotiation teams to ensure a united approach
- Proactively engage with assigned category core and strategic market suppliers
- Collaborate with the Turbomachinery Category Lead to ensure that outcomes are consistent with Santos' Turbomachinery Category Strategy
- Ensure security of supply through effective risk identification and mitigation
- Comply with Santos EHS requirements relevant to role and promote Santos' health & safety vision and policies to suppliers and contractors
- Contribute to delivering on cost reduction efficiencies and value creation strategies as directed
**About you**
- Degree qualifications in supply chain management, engineering, business or law and/or equivalent role and industry experience
- Previous experience in oil and gas, heavy industry, or similar industry
- Significant experience as a procurement specialist, contracts analyst or category analyst within complex organisations such as oil and gas, mining, resources or construction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through sound influencing and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders
- A strong commercial acumen, coupled with a commitment to achieving commercial strategies
- A commitment to procurement best practice as continuous improvement
