We are seeking an established leader to fill the role of Program Manager, Data Sourcing Operations Branch. The Data Sourcing Operations Branch is responsible for obtaining the data needed to measure and report on what is important to Australians. About the role You will lead a diverse team of data sourcing professionals, including field interviewers, contact centre staff, and support teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the effective management of data sourcing operations, while providing strategic leadership as part of the ABS’ Senior Executive team. The Program Manager, Data Souring Operations Branch, is responsible for: Demonstrating and promoting expected cultural behaviours (self-aware, customer-focused, collaborative, accountable, adaptable and innovative). Managing the Branch’s current and forward year budget, including improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Branch Mentoring and developing staff to ensure a skilled and engaged workforce, promoting professional development opportunities. A strong understanding of legislative and compliance frameworks related to health and safety, data management and privacy. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to deliver complex information to a range of audiences. Promote and foster innovation to improve operational efficiency, data collection accuracy, and stakeholder experience. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of operations and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Leverage data analytics and insights to make data-driven decisions that improve operational outcomes. Manage the day-to-day operations of the contact centre, ensuring customer interactions are handled efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with agreed service standards. Provide regular reporting and briefings to senior executives and other stakeholders on the branch’s performance, challenges, and achievements.
