Join one of the leading global advertising and marketing services companies. Our client is seeking a detail‐oriented and experienced Payroll Officer to join our team.
The Payroll Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, and contributing to the smooth operation of our finance department.
Responsibilities
* Maintain payroll records and data accurately in the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, timekeeping, and deductions.
* Set up new starters, calculate terminations, redundancies, leaves, etc.
* Liaise with internal and overseas teams.
* Prepare and reconcile payment summaries, superannuation, and other payroll‐related tasks.
* Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, including salary, taxes, and perks.
* Stay updated on relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in payroll processing to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
* Assist with year‐end payroll activities, including reconciliation, reporting, and tax filings.
About You
* Proven experience (3+ years) as a Payroll Officer or similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
* Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated knowledge of payroll entitlement calculations, including leave and termination/LSL and redundancy calculations.
* Proficiency in payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
* Team player and ability to work autonomously.

Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sydney, NSW 2000
