As a Childcare Cook, your core responsibilities will include the following: Maternity contract, possibility to extend.
Comply with all relevant legislation, early childhood regulations, policies, procedures, and work guidelines.
Prepare and cook nutritious meals that are culturally appropriate for children 0-5 years, following our nutritionally crafted menu and recipes.
Provide for/or supplement alternative foods/beverages for children with allergies or special food/dietary requirements.
Prepare weekly stock take and ordering.
Maintain and ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene such as cleaning and washing.
Ensure all meals and snacks are ready by the time specified by the Director.
What we are looking for:
Previous experience in cooking for large groups of children aged 0-5 years (desirable)
Relevant Commercial Cookery/Hospitality qualifications and food handling certificates, including (SITSS00069) Food Safety Supervision Skill Set
A current Working with Children Check
Basic training in Food Safety and Nutrition
Experience in preparing and cooking nutritiously balanced meals
