u&u; Recruitment Partners is again excited to partner exclusively with Diabetes Australia who are seeking a recent General Counsel & Company Secretary.

With close to 360 staff members, DA is represented in Queensland, NSW, Tasmania and the ACT and works to reduce the impact of diagnosis on families, communities and governments.
Key Responsibilities
As an experienced General Counsel & Company Secretary, you will help lead the organisation across a broad range of corporate governance, legal, risk and compliance matters. Sitting on the Executive team, you will work in close collaboration with the current Chair, Group CEO, Group Executives and Senior Leaders to centralise legal functions; review existing processes and improve overall efficiencies across legal and governance.
* Draft, review and negotiate major contracts with service providers.
* Provide legal review and advice regarding research trust and unified organization requirements.
* Prepare tender responses and review critical third party arrangements.
* Provide support to the Board and subcommittees, assisting with preparing agendas, minutes, and terms of reference.
* Travel interstate to attend Board meetings.
