Description & Requirements
Due to the rapid expansion of our maintenance and project workload in South Australia, we are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters. Olympic Dam is home to one of our longest contracts, a huge part of the company's history with many stories to tell. The Monadelphous team are predominantly locals from the Roxby Downs community and love what the region offers. We are keen to strengthen the team with those interested in joining us for the next stage of the journey.
The role of Mechanical Fitter will see you working at Olympic Dam in our ongoing maintenance works and being involved with projects & shutdown works when available.
What you will bring
* Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
* Working at Heights training (Within 5 years or willing to obtain)
* Enter and Work in Confined Space training (Within 5 years or willing to obtain)
* Fixed plant maintenance experience highly valued.
* Experience fitting and assembling fabricated metal parts into products, setup machining tools, production machines and operates machining tools and machines to shape metal stock and castings.
* Experienced in use of required equipment such as hand tools, cutting torches and metal cutting machinery.
* Ability to read and interpret project technical information such as drawings, blueprints, and isometrics to provide skilled solutions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Can do attitude
* Proof of right to work in Australia
