This role is based at Olympic Dam, located 560 kilometres north of Adelaide, South Australia, where we operate a fully integrated processing facility from ore to metal.
Please note this position involves a 7:7 rotating day/night roster arrangement.
Job Overview
* You will be a key team member, providing mechanical maintenance support to the mobile fleet maintenance work team.
* You will adhere to operational requirements and strive for the safe achievement of individual, team, and site objectives.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Promote and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day.
2. Assist with any planned maintenance and complete tasks in a timely manner.
3. Provide mechanical trade skills to perform unplanned or breakdown maintenance.
4. Maintain equipment on the surface/workshop or as part of the underground team.
5. Work with your team to a high level of accountability and build productive team relationships.
6. Provide feedback to shift supervisors on job progress.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* You have a proven commitment to your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm's way.
* You hold heavy diesel mechanic trade qualifications with experience in heavy machinery.
* You have underground mining experience (highly regarded but not essential).
* You possess rigger, dogger, crane, FL, and bridge & gantry tickets (also advantageous).
* You have solid time management skills and can prioritise.
* You are a proactive team player who is also self-motivated and able to work effectively unsupervised.
* You can communicate well across multiple levels and disciplines.
