Maternal Health Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Maternal Health Specialist to join our team in improving the health status of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
This role involves providing comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care to women from the Goldfields region, working closely with other maternity providers to ensure timely and culturally appropriate care.
The successful candidate will also provide specialist child health services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and their families, conducting regular health screenings, implementing immunization programs, and delivering scheduled childhood vaccinations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality maternal and child health services to the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
* Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care delivery.
* Conduct regular health screenings and implement evidence-based interventions.
* Provide education and support to families on healthy living practices and disease prevention.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Midwifery.
* High level of oral and written communication skills.
* Strong understanding of primary health care principles and issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage competing priorities.
