We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic APS 6 Senior Program Governance Officer to lead and strengthen governance initiatives. Primary Purpose of the Role: You will contribute to the successful implementation of a professionally focused governance program, ensuring the Program's objectives are met through sound governance frameworks and effective stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
1. Lead the development and implementation of governance frameworks, procedures, guidelines, and capability-building efforts across the Reef Program.
2. Research, analyse, and provide recommendations to support evidence-based planning and decision-making.
3. Establish and maintain solid stakeholder relationships through effective communication, collaboration, negotiation, and issues management.
4. Engage stakeholders in improving and strengthening governance practices across the Program.
5. Provide expert advice and information to stakeholders, supporting continuous improvement in governance capabilities.
6. Conduct horizon scanning for emerging issues that may impact governance success and recommend proactive measures.
7. Identify, develop, and implement continuous business improvement opportunities.
8. Coordinate program and project status reports, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
9. Support additional tasks and activities as required to contribute to the success of the Reef Program.
