The Area Manager position plays a key role within our operations team, overseeing a portfolio of franchisee and corporate-owned stores. You’ll be responsible for driving store performance across sales, stock, and standards, while supporting and coaching teams to deliver consistent results. Some local travel will be required to maintain strong engagement across the store network.
You will be responsible for:
* Ability to mentor and provide training to team and franchisee to improve operational efficiencies across our 3'S (standards, stock and sales).
* Identify and leverage category and departmental growth opportunities across the franchise network to drive commercial outcomes.
* Coach, develop and inspire our team to propel our workplace culture and operations.
* Lead by example and drive compliance and consistency across the network.
* Plan regular call cycles to visit store locations within the assigned territory
* Elevate the NightOwl brand by maintaining/improving our customer experience and merchandising standards.
* Influence results through interpreting data to identify trends to improve performance.
* Implementing strategies to achieve KPI's.
* Analyse store performance and provide feedback, guidance and training to franchisees and store leaders.
The ideal candidate:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail management (petrol & convenience experience highly regarded).
* Strong background in multi-site management experience (highly regarded).
* Willing to be hands on at a store level.
* Ability to coach and mentor to develop high performing teams.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
* Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Attention to detail with merchandising standards.
