Senior Digital Communications Officer
Outstanding opportunity to showcase your expertise in digital content and communications. This role is critical to delivering high-quality digital communications across web, intranet, and corporate channels. You'll work closely with senior communications officers and report to the Assistant Director, Communications, ensuring content aligns with corporate strategies and accessibility standards.
This is a full-time labour hire contract starting ASAP (proposed commencement 10 December), offered initially for three months with the potential for a six-month extension, and based in Canberra or available remotely by arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, review, and publish content across corporate websites, intranet, and digital channels.
* Assist with reviewing and developing corporate publications.
* Ensure content meets accessibility and Australian Government Style Manual requirements.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality communication products.
What We're Looking For
* Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to build productive stakeholder relationships.
* Proficiency with content management systems (Drupal or WordPress) and experience managing intranet/internet sites (e.g., SharePoint).
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines independently and collaboratively.
* Ability to quickly learn new systems and identify process improvements.
Desirable
* Experience in communications and/or website management.
* Familiarity with accessibility standards and Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
* Interest in fact-based or educational communications.
Eligibility
* Australian Citizenship is essential.
* Baseline security clearance (or ability to obtain/re-establish).
