Connect APAC are proud to be exclusively partnering with one of Australia's most exciting organisations within the Pet category scaling across both Grocery and Specialty channels.
Working in close partnership with the CEO, the National Sales Manager is accountable for designing and delivering a commercially robust national sales strategy that accelerates sustainable, profitable growth across own brands and private‑label programs in both Grocery (Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, Costco) and Specialty (Petbarn, the Reject Shop) channels.
Success in this role will be measured by sustainable revenue and profit growth, strengthened customer partnerships, and consistent role-modelling of the company’s values in all customer interactions and internal decision-making.

ResponsibilityOwn customer and channel strategy end‑to‑endLead joint business plans, range reviews and trade terms; expanding distribution and share of shelf; improving margin mix and forecast accuracy; and championing an exceptional customer experience with our strategic partners.As a strategic, data-led leader who is equally comfortable executing day-to-day, the National Sales Manager will build and develop a high-performing sales team aligned to the company’s growth ambitions. They will embed disciplined account management and pipeline practices and work cross-functionally to deliver NPD and commercial initiatives that strengthen brand equity and support long-term strategic objectives.Deliver “go to market” plans that support portfolio growth in line with the business objectivesDevelop plans to leverage private label and increase instore presenceDesign promotional and execution programs to maximize sales and profitabilityImplement best in class activations for all major launches by working collaboratively with marketing, sales, and field teamsConduct in-depth category analysis to identify issues, opportunities, and recommendationsDevelop tailored best in class bid and proposal submissions and frameworks that demonstrate innovation, marketing prowess and brand alignmentMaintain an up to date understanding of competitor knowledge, contemporary practices, and market opportunities.Working in partnership with the Operations Manager and Production teams to ensure the delivery of product on a right first-time basis meeting customer requirements

Experience RequiredSuccessful track record of driving and delivering sustainable results in Sales or Category management within FMCGMust come with Corporate Grocery experience (i.e. Woolworths and/or Coles)Advanced business and financial acumenExperience in developing and leading a teamStrong capability across forecasting and commercial managementStrategic planning and implementation experience
