About the Role
The JBS Australia is currently recruiting an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our busy Maintenance Team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this is a full‐time position working 40 hours per week. Our conditions of employment are among the best in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct tests of mechanical systems, collect and analyse data, and assemble and install mechanical assemblies in support of Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists.
* Ensure maximum equipment uptime by providing effective and efficient mechanical preventive and breakdown maintenance.
* Engage in fabrication, installation and repair of mechanical machines, instruments or appliances.
* Ensure that all work is carried out to the Company's requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations.
* Utilise fault‐finding to troubleshoot and rectify problems.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a quick‐paced industrial manufacturing setting.
* Previous experience within the meat industry advantageous.
* Sound knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics, and basic knowledge of electrics and welding skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated continuous improvement approach.
* Ability to support a broad variety of mechanical work.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate at all levels.
* Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team workplace.
* Ability to work various shifts.
* Full Australian working rights.
Pay
$70,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
