We are excited to announce the launch of our new Trade Centre, a purpose-built facility designed to give students hands-on experience in woodwork, design, and modern technologies such as laser printing for classroom projects. We are currently seeking a passionate and capable Trade & Technology Teacher to lead engaging, skills-based learning for students in either the primary or secondary years (or both), depending on the successful candidate's experience and interest.
This is an ongoing, full-time position, with load and responsibilities to be finalised in consultation with the successful applicant.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver practical, skills-based lessons in woodwork, design, and technology
• Foster creativity, confidence, and problem-solving through hands-on learning
• Integrate tools and equipment safely and effectively, including laser printing
• Develop engaging programs that cater to a range of learners and age groups
• Create a positive and inclusive workshop environment that reflects College values
About You
• Experience teaching practical subjects such as woodwork, design, or technology
• Comfortable using both traditional tools and emerging technologies
• A technology teaching qualification is highly regarded
• Ability to inspire curiosity and skill development in young learners
• Current Australian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or eligibility)
• A commitment to child safety and an understanding of the Child Safe Standards
• Enthusiastic about working in a values-based, faith-oriented educational setting
