The Coffs Harbour Medicare Mental Health Centre offers inclusive, low-stigma access points for mental health services, providing assessment, triage, warm referrals, and immediate support. It caters to individuals at various levels of need, including those in crisis, fostering an innovative, agile, and flexible approach to service delivery.

The Opportunity

Our new Medicare Mental Health Centre in Coffs Harbour is looking for a Mental Health Clinicians to join the team permanently. As a crucial part of this emerging team, you'll be tasked with delivering high quality, evidence-driven psychological interventions tailored to individuals' mental health needs and goals by using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) and other models within your practice. Beyond individual sessions, you'll actively participate in team discussions, foster connections with external partners, and engage with the community to deliver comprehensive, recovery-oriented care.

This is a part-time opportunity located in Coffs Harbour. (approximately 4 days a week)

On a day‐to‐day basis you will

* Conduct clinical assessments and develop case formulations and treatment plans for clients with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
* Deliver individually‐tailored, evidence‐based interventions with clients.
* Perform risk assessments and develop practical risk management plans.
* Provide client‐centred care, incorporating family‐inclusive practices within a multidisciplinary team.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and ethical standards.

About you

Are you a professional, innovative, and caring clinician who thrives as part of a multi‐disciplinary team, and enjoys working with a wide range of external stakeholders involved in providing health, mental health, and psychosocial services?

Qualifications

* Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or other clinical disciplines related to mental health.
* Registration with the appropriate professional body such as AHPRA or AASW.
* Expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and providing evidence‐based treatments for mental health disorders.
* Extensive experience fostering mental health and well‐being, delivering inclusive therapeutic services with a recovery and strengths‐based focus.
* Competency or the ability to develop competency in conducting risk assessments, crisis intervention planning, and implementing effective risk‐management strategies for consumers.
* Knowledge of the mental health system, government policies, legislation, and professional standards.
* A commitment to foster and build inclusive cultures that promote human rights and diversity.

* Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to hold one
* Undergo a current (within 3 months) and satisfactory Police Check
