As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a HR Manager to lead our people function and partner closely with the General Manager and senior leaders to shape a high-performance, values-led workforce.
The Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a senior leadership role with direct reports and state based accountability for people, culture, industrial relations and workforce strategy.
You will lead the Human Resources function and act as a trusted advisor to executive and operational leaders across corporate, project and site-based environments. This role is critical in enabling safe, compliant and high-performing teams in a complex, project-driven construction business.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and execute the Human Resources strategy aligned to business objectives, project pipelines and growth plans
* Build and develop a high-performing Human Resources team through strong leadership, coaching and accountability
* Partner with leaders on workforce planning, succession, and capability forecasting
* Provide senior-level leadership and coaching across employee relations, industrial relations and case management
* Drive leadership capability, performance management and accountability frameworks across all levels
* Ensure compliance with Fair Work, WHS, psychosocial risk and employment legislation
* Lead organisational development, engagement and culture initiatives
* Manage people aspects of organisational change, growth and transformation
* Oversee HR systems, workforce analytics and reporting to support executive decision-making
* Champion wellbeing, mental health and psychosocial safety in high-risk and remote environments
About You
You're a confident, credible and pragmatic HR leader who thrives in complex, operational environments. You balance strong technical capability with sound judgement, empathy and commercial awareness.
You will bring:
* Extensive experience in senior HR / People & Culture leadership roles
* Strong expertise in employee relations, industrial relations and employment law
* Proven experience leading and developing HR or People & Culture teams
* Demonstrated success partnering with senior leaders in project-based or operational businesses
* High emotional intelligence and the ability to influence at executive level
* Experience in construction, infrastructure, resources or similar industries (highly regarded)
Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, or;
* Diploma Human Resources and AHRI or professional accreditation
* 10 years experience in generalist HR, with a comprehensive knowledge of Fair Work NES and laws
* National Police Check and C-Class Driver's Licence
