Transport & Logistics Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Transport & Logistics Manager to lead and optimise our warehousing, truck fleet, deliveries and logistics. You will lead a large team of materials handling staff and drivers ensuring safe, compliant and efficient movement of products to site, on time and within budget.
You will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, be a hands-on leader with the initiative to continuously improve our operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day transport and logistics operations across multiple delivery sites
* Ensure compliance with NHVR, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, and WHS requirements
* Lead, coach, and manage drivers, yard, and logistics staff
* Plan and optimise delivery schedules to meet delivery timelines
* Oversee fleet management, maintenance, and vehicle compliance
* Manage transport costs, budgets, and supplier relationships
* Investigate incidents, manage corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders including operations, sales, and production teams
About You
* Proven experience in a Transport, Logistics or Fleet Management role
* Strong knowledge of NHVR, CoR, fatigue management and WHS legislation
* Demonstrated leadership experience managing drivers and operational teams
* Excellent planning, problem-solving and communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
* Strong computer skills and experience with scheduling or logistics systems
* HR or industrial relations experience within transport is advantageous
* Forklift license is highly desirable
