What’s the role?
We are seeking a highly experienced, exceptionally organized Event Marketing Manager to join our team. Working across a number of large‑scale events, you will be responsible for developing and implementing consumer‑centric campaign marketing strategies to drive event awareness and conversion, collaborating with editorial and marketing teams to deliver market‑leading events and experiences, and ensuring campaigns meet masthead and customer objectives while seamlessly integrating sponsor requirements.
Note
This is a 12‑month contract covering maternity leave: Dec 2025 – Dec 2026. The role can be based in the Sydney or Brisbane office.
Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end event marketing and campaign management for key experiential programs across brand portfolios.
- Translate consumer insights, knowledge and trends into best‑in‑class experiences and customer communications.
- Manage creative campaigns for events, including briefing, liaison, approvals and commercial client integration with internal creative agency.
- Collaborate with digital product integration and consumer UX to create seamless digital experiences and event outcomes.
- Plan marketing amplification and acquisition, including social advertising strategies to reach and capture recent audiences.
- Integrate sponsors into brand‑led marketing campaigns and events.
- Brief PR team on campaigns to develop event awareness strategies.
- Manage budgets for Events + Experiences P&Ls.;
- Partner with product integration and sales to build commercial/partner event offerings.
- Collaborate with senior event managers to deliver world‑class event campaigns.
- Manage and lead stakeholders (internal and external) to achieve successful outcomes.
- Contribute to an innovative, customer‑focused culture reflecting News Corp values.
- Oversee post‑campaign reporting.
