Job description CENTRE MANAGER The applicant must hold an ACECQA nationally approved diploma (or higher) education and care qualification and at least 5 years of experience in the industry. Ensure compliance with Legislation and Policy Lead, mentor, and support centre team members and use and implement the Turtle School way Guide to ensure they provide high-quality early learning and care that meets or exceeds the NQS. Provide professional development opportunities for team members to drive improved outcomes for employees, children, and families. Uphold the Arnhem Early Learning Centre philosophy. Maintain a safe environment for children, families, team members, and all visitors. Be an active member of the Management Team. Ensure the Centre complies with the National Quality Framework (NQF) across all related areas. Drive continuous improvement of the Centre. To develop relationships which support families and staff members Ensure that the philosophy, policies and procedures of the Service are upheld, implemented and reviewed regularly to meet relevant requirements. Good understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) Salary: $79k to 99k annual salary package, wages depend on years of experience and qualifications. Must have at least worked in Australian early childhood setting for 5 years. ECT must hold their BACHELOR in Early Childhood Education and have at least 3 to 4 years experience working in the industry, must be confident and have a good understanding of EYLF and NQS. Working towards ECT will also be considered. Assist in the collection, recording and evaluation of children’s records and observations, as required by Department of Education and Communities and the National Quality Standard, and ensure all educators in your room are complying with these requirements. Be familiar with the Early Years Learning Framework and utilise to inspire independent learners. To encourage families to participate in Service decision-making and experiences. Ensure the Day Book/Journal/Daily Diary and assist Educators as necessary, ensuring that this valuable communication tool is being fully utilised as a means of reporting to families Assist the Educational Leader and guide room staff in observing and planning for individual children and the total learning environment. Assist in ensuring that the room is aesthetically supporting family involvement and representing each child and their needs and interests. To ensure staff are aware of current thinking and practice in early childhood education, and service delivery. Write up the program, co-operating with staff and Children’s needs. To ensure that accurate records are kept in regards to accident, incident, injury, illness and medication. The appropriate books/records are to be checked on a regular basis to ensure ongoing compliance. To liaise with families in regards to the day to day happenings.
