Are you a strategic leader with a passion for network engineering and a drive to deliver impactful technology solutions? Join Rio Tinto as the Manager – Network Engineering Delivery, APAC, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our IT/OT network platforms across the Asia-Pacific region.
About The Role
As the Manager of Network Engineering Delivery for APAC, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering robust, secure, and scalable network solutions. You will oversee a team of 40 (including 3 direct reports), manage vendor relationships, and ensure alignment with Rio Tinto's strategic goals and network standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of network engineering services across East, West, and Asia Pacific regions.
* Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with business objectives.
* Manage demand pipelines, project scoping, budgeting, and resource planning.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
* Ensure compliance with network and security standards.
* Act as an escalation point for critical incidents and support operational teams.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and delivery partners.
Key Relationships
* Internal Network Platform Teams, Global Network Services, OT Teams, Service Delivery, Governance.
* External Vendors (Cisco, Nokia, APC), Delivery Partners (Data3, Equinix, BT), PMO, Business Partners.
What You'll Bring
Required
* Degree in IT or a relevant engineering discipline.
* 5+ years in a senior design/leadership role in IT or telecommunications.
* Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong communication and influencing abilities.
Desirable
* Industry certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA).
* Experience in remote/isolated environments.
* Familiarity with HSE principles in tech project execution.
