We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team at Uungula Wind Farm, outside of Wellington, NSW.
As a Junior HSE Advisor at AARC, you will support the delivery of our health, safety, and environmental objectives across the Uungula Wind Farm project. Working alongside experienced HSE professionals, you will help ensure the project meets company, client, and legislative requirements while contributing to a safe and environmentally responsible workplace. Key Responsibilities
* Support the implementation of HSE management plans, systems, and procedures in line with company and client requirements.
* Assist with site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify and control potential hazards.
* Participate in incident investigations and help develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence
* Monitor environmental performance and compliance with relevant regulations and project requirements.
* Help deliver site-based inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training to employees and contractors.
* Maintain HSE records, reports, and documentation to support compliance and continuous improvement.
* Promote a positive safety culture through communication, engagement, and visible participation in site activities.
* Assist with the coordination of emergency response plans, first aid resources, and safety equipment.
* Liaise with site teams and subcontractors to support safe work practices and environmental protection.
* Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives and support the broader HSE team across all project phases.
Qualifications and Skills
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety (or working towards completion).
* 1–3 years' experience in an HSE-related role, ideally within the construction or renewable energy sector.
* Understanding of WHS and environmental regulations and standards.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills with a proactive and positive attitude.
* Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
* Ability to work on-site and follow safe work procedures at all times.
