Your responsibilities will include:
This is not just a business development role – it's a chance to shape the future of Defence capability. You will identify and capture opportunities of national importance, provide market intelligence at the enterprise level, and influence both customer and partner ecosystems. Your leadership will help guide multi-disciplinary teams, align strategies across Lockheed Martin, and ensure enduring partnerships with Defence and industry.
Key Accountabilities;
* Lead the identification, qualification, and capture of high-value Defence opportunities.
* Shape strategic direction through market intelligence, competitive analysis, and future capability concepts.
* Influence senior stakeholders and build enduring customer, partner, and inter-company relationships.
* Represent Lockheed Martin with credibility at the most senior Defence and industry levels.
* Provide thought leadership on capability development, C4ISR, and CJADC2 strategy.
About you:
You are an accomplished Defence leader who can operate confidently at senior levels, with the judgement and presence to influence stakeholders across Government, Defence, and industry. You combine operational experience with strategic insight, and you understand how to translate capability concepts into funded programs.
You will bring:
* Extensive Defence leadership experience (O5 level and above), ideally in command, capability management, or program delivery.
* Proven ability to navigate operational and capability development processes, understanding how projects are conceived, developed, and delivered.
* Established senior networks across Defence and Defence Industry.
* Deep knowledge of ADF C4ISR and CJADC2 domains, including ISR PED and the Defence Targeting Enterprise.
* Strategic understanding of BMC2 systems and enterprise interoperability.
* Credibility working with US/Coalition commands and Defence intelligence organisations.
* Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at the highest levels.
