Expressions of Interest for a Metal Fabricator/Welder required to join the AUSPAN Gnowangerup team.
About The Role
The Metal Fabricator and Welders will be responsible for maintaining high quality standards in the production of structural steel frames.
The Main Responsibilities Would Include
* Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform tasks
* Ascertain correct weld types for use based on project needs
* Field install welds, including duct work, light fixtures, vents, fans, metal sheeting and other parts
* Coordinate with field labour crew for efficient installations
* Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction
* De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
About You
* Trade qualification
* At least 1 year of proven experience working in a Metal Fabricator/Welder position
* Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings and specifications.
* Ability to mark up construction drawings and specifications with as-built status.
* Manage welding work and ensure compliance to all specifications to perform defect work.
* Safely operate various manual and automated welding equipment for welding work
* High level attention to detail.
* Proficiency in time management and prioritisation of tasks.

About Us
AUSPAN Group is a WA family-owned D&C building company, with a successful track record of delivering buildings for industrial, commercial, mining & agricultural clients. This position will be based in our Canning Vale office and Gnowangerup. We also have offices in Albany, Toodyay and Geraldton.
The Minimum Requirements
* Ability to pass a functional pre-employ medical including drug and alcohol screen.
* Hold a current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence.
* Provide a National Police Clearance obtained within the last 6 months.
* Be health, safety and environmentally conscious
* Display a collaborative teamwork style with well-honed conflict resolution skills
* The ability to make practical decisions under pressure.
