We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented compliance professional to join our team as Senior Compliance Adviser – Breach Management. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working on complex compliance matters, but also values balance, flexibility and a supportive environment.
You'll play a key part in how we assess incidents, determine breach status, advise on remediation expectations, and ensure our regulatory reports are accurate and submitted on time. You'll work closely with the Manager – Compliance Advisory and be a trusted partner to business teams who rely on your clarity, calmness and judgement. This permanent part time role is ideal for someone who enjoys diving into the detail while maintaining a broad view of compliance risk and regulatory obligations.
What will your key responsibilities include?
* Lead and complete end‑to‑end incident assessments, determining breach status and documenting clear reasoning
* Prepare accurate, timely breach reports for ASIC and other regulators, ensuring all RG 78 obligations are met
* Provide Line 2 advice and oversight on customer remediation activities
* Conduct industry benchmarking and analyse breach reporting trends, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
* Review incident trends, conduct gap analyses, and recommend improvements to strengthen frameworks
* Prepare clear insights and reporting for senior management and committees
* Build strong, supportive relationships with Line 1 teams to uplift understanding of obligations and foster a positive compliance culture
What are we looking for?
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance, Commerce, Law, or a related discipline.
* 3+ years' experience in compliance and advisory roles within financial services, including proven Line 2 Compliance experience.
* Experience in breach assessment and reporting would be highly regarded.
* Strong understanding of consumer/retail and/or business banking products and associated compliance obligations (highly regarded but not essential), with the ability to interpret and apply requirements pragmatically.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels of the organisation.
* Strong analytical, organisational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
