* $72,271 – $75,843 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 4/5/6 + Site) + Superannuation

Rockhampton Regional Council has multiple opportunities available for skilled Truck Drivers, Plant Operators, and Civil Labourers to join our dynamic teams across the region.
These roles will involve contributing to essential construction and maintenance activities, including the delivery of water and sewerage services and major infrastructure projects such as water pipeline upgrades, treatment plant improvements, and a variety of civil works.
Depending on the role your responsibilities may include operating trucks and plant equipment such as excavators, backhoes, skid steers, rollers, and tipper trucks, as well as performing labouring tasks associated with civil construction. Including pipe laying, concreting, pothole patching, compaction, signage setup, and site preparation. You may also assist with rural and urban road building, pavement reconstruction, trench excavation, and level-checking, while ensuring trucks, plant, and small machinery are maintained and serviced to meet safety standards.
We are seeking individuals who have experience in operating, maintaining, and servicing trucks and plant in the civil construction industry. A safety-focused attitude, enthusiasm, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-skilled team are essential. This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for
* Civil background with experience in labouring, truck driving/machinery operation with mandatory licences/tickets.
* Team player who enjoys working outdoors and physical work.
* Willingness to work and learn the full range of roles and responsibilities within the team.
* Safety focussed and the ability to identify hazards and risks on the worksite.
* Experience in the completion of general and site maintenance activities related to water and sewerage infrastructure is desirable.
