Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC) manages and operates some of Queensland’s most significant port precincts - the Port of Rockhampton, Port of Gladstone and Port of Bundaberg. GPC conducts the functions of a landlord ports corporation and owns and operates cargo handling facilities, including one of the world’s largest coal export terminals.
As the Chief Financial Officer, you will be a key strategic partner to the CEO, Board and Executive Team. This is an prospect to lead the financial stewardship of a complex, capital‑intensive organisation at a pivotal moment in its evolution ensuring financial excellence, strengthening governance and driving value creation for Queensland’s future.
This role will appeal to a seasoned CFO who thrives in a dynamic operating environment. You will bring deep commercial and strategic acumen, a record of excellence in financial control and complex decision support and oversight, and the confidence to advise and influence at the highest levels. You will lead the organisation’s finance, procurement, contractor and vendor management, property and facilities portfolios, ensuring sound decision‑making and the integrity of GPC’s financial frameworks.
We are seeking an accomplished leader who:
- Brings extensive experience in large, complex, capital‑intensive businesses
- Proven experience overseeing assets, contractors and vendors
- Is an exceptional advisor to CEOs and Boards, combining commercial insight with disciplined financial governance
- Demonstrates outstanding relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to navigate diverse stakeholders and government interfaces
- Has led finance, procurement and contract management functions to uplift capability, drive efficiency and enable strategic investment decisions
- Operates with integrity and a genuine commitment to organisational excellence and purpose
